If your organisation has set up the Aptem integration with Pass, you can complete your English and maths initial assessments through Pass as part of your Onboarding Wizard.
Registering with Pass
On your Onboarding Wizard, go to the Functional Skills step.
Select the subject you want to start with. You can enrol in subjects individually rather than all at once.
Select the link to Pass. You'll be automatically registered with Pass if you don't already have an account.
If you already have a Pass account registered with a different organisation, you'll see a message explaining this rather than an error. If this happens, speak to your tutor or administrator.
Completing your assessments
Once registered, select the assessment link for each subject from your Functional Skills step.
This opens Pass in a new tab, and your status updates to In Progress.
Complete your assessment in Pass.
You must complete all your assigned Pass assessments before you can progress to the next step of onboarding. If you try to move on with an assessment still incomplete, you'll see a message telling you what's left to do.
Viewing your results
Once you've completed an assessment, your tutor or administrator can view your results and any assessment report directly within Aptem, on your learning plan and learner profile. You don't need to do anything further, results are retrieved automatically.
Note: If Pass is temporarily unavailable, you'll see a clear message explaining this rather than a system error. Try again shortly, or contact your tutor if the issue continues.
