Completing your Personal Learning Record (PLR)

Overview

If PLR has been enabled by your administrator, you will have the option to enter details of your personal learning qualifications / experience within the Onboarding wizard.

 

Add a personal learning record

  1. Login to your account. If you have not already completed it, you will be returned to the Onboarding Wizard. 
  2. To add a learning record, click Add.

The Add Learning Record screen is displayed.

Enter the details of your learning record. The options you see may change based on the qualification type you enter. Specify the following: 

  • Place of Study - the name of the school, college, University, private training company.
  • Qualification type - choose from the dropdown list. When you select a Qualification type, additional fields may be displayed. The following options are available in the dropdown list:
      • Degree

      • Higher Education

      • Access to HE

      • A level

      • AS level

      • BTEC

      • GNVQ

      • GCSE

      • CSE

      • O-level

      • NVQ

      • Key Skill

      • Functional Skill

      • Short Course

      • Overseas Qualification

      • Basic Skill

      • Other

  • Subject - choose from the dropdown list.
    • Maths

    • English

    • ICT

    • Other

  • Level
  • Start and End dates
  • Award date
  • Credits
  • Grade
  • Certificate / Evidence - you can upload a file such as an image of a certificate as evidence of you having successfully completed the learning course. Use drag and drop, or click Select file from your computer.

Click Save to finish.

You can continue to add more details of your personal learning - click on Add to add another row to the table. The example below shows a table with three qualifications added.

Edit or delete a learning record

After you add a record, you can edit or delete it. To edit or delete a record, click the options icon ⋮ on the far right of the screen and make your selection.
