Usually, all available programmes are added to the root group during implementation, which gives every child group access to them. If you add a programme directly to a child group, that link is broken, and you then need to add new programmes to groups individually.

Add a programme to a group
- Select the Groups tile and find the group you want to add the programme to, for example "GroupABC".
- In the group's programme list, select an empty row.
- Search for or scroll to the programme, add it to the list, and save your changes.
When you create a learner and select that group, the programme now appears in the list of programmes.
Making a programme available to a group
If a programme doesn't appear when you enrol a learner, it usually hasn't been added to the learner's group. Add it using the steps above.
If the group sits within a parent group, you may need to add the programme to the parent group first, then to the learner's group. Open the parent group in the Groups tile and select the Programmes tab.
Once the programme is linked to the group, it's available for every learner in that group.
If programmes don't show on the Programmes tile
The Programmes tile only shows programmes that are assigned to groups.
- No programmes show at all: the programmes haven't been assigned to any group. Select the Groups tile, select the root group, open the Programmes dropdown without selecting any child groups, select the programmes you need and apply the changes.
- A programme is missing: check it hasn't been removed from the root group in the Groups tile. If programme restrictions are set for a group, users only see the programmes linked to the groups they belong to.
How programme availability works when a learner is in more than one group
A learner can be enrolled on any programme linked to any of their groups. If you remove a programme from one group, the learner can still be enrolled on it if another of their groups has it.
To stop a programme being available to a learner, either:
- remove the programme from every group the learner is in, or
- remove the learner from the groups that have the programme.
