Activity log is a clearer, more dedicated way to record off-the-job training, English and maths, and other learning hours, replacing the old mix of evidence uploads and learning plan entries.

Learners get a single "Log activity" page for recording what they did, when, and for how long, with a type-ahead to quickly find the right learning plan component. A new activity log history page shows everything they've logged, with search and filtering to find specific entries, and learners can edit or delete their own submissions before they're reviewed.

Tutors and admins get a dedicated activity log landing page with clear panels showing what needs reviewing and which learners haven't logged anything in the last 28 days. A review wizard lets tutors work through outstanding activities quickly, accepting or rejecting with feedback, and a full CSV export supports audit and funding assurance.

Some tenants may see activity time no longer available from evidence submission or Marking Aid screens, since activity log is now the single place this is recorded.

A new "Hours log" compliance document can also be generated directly from activity log data, giving providers a signed, audit-ready record of verified hours.

Providers can now tell the virtual assistant a little about their organisation, so its answers reflect how you actually work, not a generic response.

You can add context at three levels: for your whole organisation, for individual programmes, and for individual employers, so a learner gets an answer that reflects the specifics of their programme and workplace as well as your organisation as a whole.

Changes take up to 10 minutes to reach live conversations.

There's a new reporting area for admins, showing how the virtual assistant is being used across your organisation. Drill down from programmes through to individual learners and their conversations, and export to CSV for further analysis. Virtual assistant conversation data is also now available through OData v2, for providers who want to build their own reporting.

Providers building their own reporting can now pull checkpoint results directly into their tools through OData, including scores, outcomes, and completion data, without needing to export manually. The feed also now includes each learner's integer identifier alongside their unique ID, making it simpler to join checkpoint data to your own reporting tables.

Tutors can now see outstanding and completed checkpoints across their whole caseload in one place, rather than checking programme by programme, and jump straight to a learner's checkpoint from there.

AI-generated review summaries are now written more consistently: always in the third person, naming people where possible, with generic phrasing like "the meeting discussed" replaced by more natural wording. Each summary is also now grouped into themes with a list of action points at the end. This is off by default and turned on per organisation on request; speak to your account team if you'd like it enabled.

A number of issues affecting 26/27 ILR submissions are resolved this release. Providers using Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) reductions for learners migrated to the new schema will now have the associated price reduction record populated automatically where a matching RPL calculator record exists. Submission errors affecting non-funded learners' planned hours in R01, and providers submitting R13 batch files for learners with RPL, have also been fixed. If you had submissions rejected for these reasons, you can now regenerate and resubmit them.

The apprenticeship agreement template has been updated to reflect the latest DfE-published wording, effective 1 August 2026. This is a wording-only change; there's no change to how the document is completed or signed.

The activities to review counter in the tutor activity log view now updates immediately after an activity is reviewed, rather than requiring a refresh.

A checkpoint grid could occasionally show learners from a previously viewed programme after switching programmes; this has been fixed.

Some apprenticeship standards, including Level 2 Administrative Assistant, were missing from our internal standards dictionary, meaning the published minimum off-the-job training hours did not populate automatically for learners on these standards; this is now corrected.

Tutors generating a review summary from a Teams meeting could find the Save button stopped working, requiring them to close and reopen the review to keep their changes; this has been fixed.

Review summaries could occasionally show the action points as raw, unformatted text rather than a proper table; this has been fixed.

Delivery hours collection for apprenticeship unit programmes will move to a dedicated activity log configuration, replacing the current programme requirements toggle.

We're building a self-service data import tool for ILR data, designed to reduce the manual back and forth involved in fixing data issues during import. A first customer trial of this tool is expected soon.
