Concern management notifications

Overview

When AVA flags a potential concern, everyone with the Concern management permission is notified, so you can review it promptly without checking the concern management area manually.

What you receive

When a concern is flagged, you receive a message in your Aptem message centre, which also shows under the bell icon. The message includes the item's reference number and prompts you to review it.

Notifications never include the learner's name, the message content, or any other learner data.

Above is an example of the notification you would receive.

Email notifications

If you have email notifications turned on, you also receive the standard new-message email. We recommend all users with the Concern management permission turn on email notifications, so they are alerted as soon as a concern is raised.

Who receives notifications

Notifications are sent to every user with the Concern management permission who also has access to messages. If nobody holds the permission, concerns are still flagged, but no notifications are sent.
