ILR 2026/27 — schema selection and getting started
Aptem supports the 2026/27 Individualised Learner Record (ILR) specification. This article explains how to select the 2026/27 schema on your programmes and what has changed for the new academic year beginning 1 August 2026.
Select the 2026/27 schema on a programme
Sign in to Aptem Console as an administrator.
Select Programmes and open or clone the relevant programme.
Locate the ILR token and open it.
On the Main tab, select 2026/27 from the Years dropdown.
Select Confirm.
Learners enrolled on this programme will now have their ILR data collected under the 2026/27 schema.
Force-include 2026/27 on an individual aim
If you need to apply the 2026/27 schema to a specific learner's aim rather than at programme level:
Open the learner's ILR.
Select the relevant aim.
Use the force-include option to apply the 2026/27 schema directly to that aim.
What has changed in the 2026/27 schema

The Assessment Organisation ID field now accepts 8-character identifiers in EPA#### format or as an 8-digit number. The field has been renamed from "End point assessment organisation" to Assessment organisation.
RIP — Price Reduction financial type
A new financial type — RIP: Price Reduction — is available on eligible apprenticeship aims (FM36; ProgType 25 with FM81). Only one RIP record is permitted per aim.
Completion of Year Instance (FUNDCOMP) retired
The FUNDCOMP field has been removed from the 2026/27 HE Delivery Modal. It is no longer required under the 2026/27 specification. Data from earlier submissions is preserved.
DAM and LDM code changes
DAM code 114 (Redundancy eligibility) is now available for learning deliveries from 1 August 2026.
LDM codes 374 and 396 have a valid-to date of 31 July 2026. They cannot be selected for deliveries dated from 1 August 2026 onwards.

The "XL Channel Islands not otherwise" domicile code is available in the ILR purpose modal, valid until 31 July 2026.
Term Time Accommodation
Term Time Accommodation fields now display per academic year from 2025/26 onwards.
Generating the 2026/27 batch file
Once you have selected the 2026/27 schema and entered the required data, generate the batch file as normal from the ILR tile. The batch export applies all 2026/27 migration rules.
