Marking evidence
When a learner submits evidence against an action plan activity, you can review it, map it to relevant criteria, verify any off-the-job (OTJ) hours, provide developmental feedback, and then accept or refer it.
Finding evidence to mark
On the Learners screen, use the quick filter to show learners who Require Marking.
Navigate to the learner's action plan and, if needed, use the filters to show activities with a status of Evidence Submitted.
Select the title of the activity you want to mark. The activity details panel opens on the right of your screen.
Under the Evidence tab, you will see one or more submitted documents or notes. Select Mark Evidence to open the marking screen.
Selecting evidence
Evidence submissions awaiting marking are listed on the left of the screen. If there is more than one submission, select the one you want to mark first.
The evidence file will open in a new browser tab or download, depending on your browser settings. Review the submitted evidence before proceeding.
Mapping criteria
While reviewing the evidence, you can see any pre-mapped criteria for the activity. You can select additional criteria from the learner's programme, or deselect pre-mapped criteria where the evidence does not meet the requirement.
Providing feedback
Enter your developmental feedback in the Feedback text box. This feedback is sent to the learner via the messaging system and recorded against the evidence as part of the audit trail. It is not sent to the learner's line manager.
Once feedback has been sent, it cannot be edited or removed. You can add further feedback comments, but the original will remain unchanged.
Accepting or referring evidence
Under Submission Outcome, select either Accepted or Referred.
If you select Accepted, the learner receives your feedback via the messaging system and the evidence status changes to Accepted. Where the activity was pre-mapped to criteria and all of those criteria have now been met, the learner's progress updates accordingly. Progress does not increase until all pre-mapped criteria for the activity have been accepted.
If you select Referred, the learner receives your feedback via the messaging system and the evidence status changes to Referred. The learner can then submit further evidence for marking. Progress does not increase until all pre-mapped criteria are met and accepted.
