Editing an activity

Overview

To edit an activity, you need to have the Advanced Delivery Management (Edit) role assigned.

To edit an activity, click the activity card. On the side panel that is displayed to the right of the screen, click the options icon ⋮ on the top right. 

Depending on the activity type, and the roles assigned, you will be able to view various options using the ellipsis icon.

Select Edit Activity.

This will take you to the Edit Activity page. Here, you can edit and update any field except the Activity Type field. You can also edit and update the map criteria section.

 

Editing activity fields

To edit any field, update the field, and click Save Changes. The changes will be updated.

 

Note about changes to the "Complete by" field

  • Please note that when the dates for activity completion are changed, the learning plan will be updated to reflect this and activities will move between the months panel or go in to `overdue`. This will also have an impact on the learning plan progress stats.
  • In case your organisation has enabled this feature, in case of any change to the "Complete by" field on the Edit Activity screen, you will be required to provide a reason for the change.
    • The reason for changes to the "Complete by" date is recorded, and can be seen on the Edit Activity screen.
    • The options available in the 'Reason for Change' dropdown list can be defined at the Account Programme level. To use this feature, and to set the list of reasons for changes to the "Complete by" field, contact your IC or Support.

Notes about task-based components

For task-based components, you should edit the due dates for the tasks to match the 'complete by' dates for the components.

To change the due date for the task, the Tutor can click the Edit button.

Note that if you use the edit option from the ellipsis icon, this will edit the date on the Component and not the task.

Is there a way to change the component type once the component has been created?

Changing the component type after creation is not possible. However, you can delete the incorrectly created component if you have the required permission: Advanced Delivery Management (Delete), and then create a new component with the desired type.

 

Deleting an activity

To delete an activity, you need to have the Advanced Delivery Management (Delete) role assigned.

To delete an activity, click the activity card. On the side panel that is displayed to the right of the screen, click the options icon ⋮ on the top right. 

Depending on the activity type, and the roles assigned, you will be able to view various options using the ellipsis icon.

Select Delete Activity.

A confirmation dialog appears. Click Yes to continue with the deletion. Click No to cancel deletion.

Please note that deleting an activity means that all the evidences and user data associated with the activity will be removed.

 

Audit trail for learning plan components

You will be able to see if components have been deleted from a learning plan by checking the Audit History tab on the learner's profile in the Console user interface.
