Review configuration errors
I am creating custom questions in Reviews. When using sub-questions which are part of a separate parent Boolean Case Block question, I get a “Title must be unique” message. Why is this?
You may see the “Title must be unique” message (like in the screenshot below) when using sub-questions which are part of a separate parent Boolean Case Block question.
Due to the way the data for a Review section is stored, each question needs to be unique regardless of whether it is part of a Boolean Case Block question or not.
If you need to use the same text for multiple questions, you can prefix the questions in a format such as the following.
For example:
Why do I see the error: “This learning activity does not have a linked review”?
Example of the error message:
When the original review type is deleted from the programme builder after the programme has been applied, the review component will remain in the learner's learning plan, but the review type that it was linked to no longer exists. This can be corrected by editing the component and choosing an alternative 'Review type' which is still available on the programme:
Save the changes, making sure all required sections have been filled in, and this will correct the error.
Why do I see an error when attempting to save a section within a review?
When attempting to save a section within a review or changing the status from incomplete to complete, an error message may be displayed.
This issue occurs when the review type has been deleted from the programme configuration. It is not recommended to delete a review type at the programme level, if there are reviews which have been conducted for active learners enrolled on the programme.
If you no longer need that particular version of the review you can create a new review type with a version number. (For example: Tripartite Review v1.1, Tripartite Review v1.2 etc). This method allows you to keep track of changes without causing errors inside Learner reviews and their sections.
Review type and versioning limitations
Can you amend the review type after creating a review?
The review type can only be changed in the programme set up (at programme level), but this will not update reviews that already exist.
For reviews created individually for a learner, the review type can only be modified during the creation process. Once created, this field cannot be changed.
This restriction is in place to prevent potential data loss. This is because the new review type may not have any similarities with the previous review type and therefore data already entered would be removed, which may not be the wanted behaviour in all scenarios.
Please note, you can copy the review details and create a new review with a new review type if required.
The PDF for the review shows all the data entered by the learner, while the user interface does not show any information. Why is this?
Upon finishing a review, clicking the "finish" button generates a PDF containing all the information. Any alterations made to the configuration after the PDF was generated for a review will subsequently update the UI to reflect the most recent configuration.
Therefore, the PDF will display the previous configuration, and any modifications made to the review configuration afterwards will result in the removal of all information from the user interface.
We strongly advise against modifying the configuration of reviews already linked to learners. Instead, it is recommended that you create a clone of the review and make the necessary configuration adjustments there. Afterwards, you can associate the cloned review with the learners requiring the changes.
Visibility and access behaviour
Is it possible to hide a component in a review fully from an employer?
The document that participants sign, and the pdf document that is available under the documents section will not show the hidden section. However, the Evidence pdf in the Learning Plan will display all sections.
This is something that our Product Team are working on to change in future. However, you can create a review as 'Not Visible' to the employer in its entirety.
Action Plan and Skills Radar behaviour
What happens to the data when I remove an Action Plan from a Review?
Removing the Action Plan step will remove the data entered for that step in any reviews it has been applied to, including completed reviews.
Where does the Action Plan section of the Review PDF pull from?
This section is part of the Skills Radar Review step. This section is populated as a summary of the assessments you make in the Skills Radar. As this is part of the existing step, it cannot be removed.
