Overview
The PLR (Personal Learner Record) is the permanent, authoritative online record of a learner’s qualifications and achievements. The PLR records general and vocational qualifications such as but not limited to QCF, A levels, GCSEs, BTEC, Diplomas and Functional Skills. The PLR means a learner should no longer have to show copies of different certificates to learning providers and employers. They can provide this information as a report generated from their PLR.
Enabling the Personal Learning Record at a programme level
- Sign into your administrator account.
- Locate your Programme tile and select a programme to edit.
- Scroll down and locate the PLR token.
- Click the PLR token. Your UKPRN and LRS organisation password should be displayed.
Adding the PLR to the Onboarding Wizard
Once the PLR details are activated in your account, you can enable the PLR in the Onboarding Wizard steps.
In the PLR section on the learners onboarding wizard, your learners can enter their personal learning records. For more information, see: Completing your PLR.
Viewing the Personal Learning Record
After learners complete the PLR in their onboarding, you can then view their PLR in a review.
After Aptem is integrated with the LRS, you can search for a learner's personal learning record. You can do this by using the ULN or by their personal details. For further information, see: Review panel - PLR.
