Integrating with CENTURY

Overview

The integration with CENTURY allows the learner to complete their initial assessment as part of the Aptem Onboarding wizard. This will automatically register Learners with CENTURY and allow a seamless user experience as the Learner navigates to CENTURY to complete their initial assessment. This will reduce the administrative effort for providers who currently need to manually register learners. This will also save time during onboarding, as learners can complete this all within a single workflow.

Enabling the integration for your tenant

If a customer wants to use the CENTURY module, a request through their CSM or IC should be made to enable it.

Once this module is enabled for their tenant, administrators with the Manage Tenant Settings role will now have CENTURY permission. When the module is disabled, administrators with the Manage Tenant Settings role will not have CENTURY permission.

The Settings Screen

  • Click Settings on the left navigation bar. You can see this option when you have the Manage Tenant Settings role assigned.
  • Use the navigation bar at the top and select Integrations.
  • On the Integrations menu, select CENTURY Integration.
  • Use the toggle to set Enable CENTURY Integration to Yes. By default, this is set to No.
  • You can securely enter and save your CENTURY API credentials and enable CENTURY within your tenant. Once the credentials are entered, they will be obfuscated and will not be readable upon revisiting the page. This ensures a secure and streamlined process for enabling CENTURY integration in the onboarding process.
  • Click Save to proceed.

In case of success, you will see the following message:

If you use the toggle to disable CENTURY integration, you will see the following confirmation message:

Verification of the connection

When you save the API credentials, a call is made to CENTURY to verify the connection. If successful, the connection is confirmed and the form is saved.

If the connection is unsuccessful, an error message will be displayed, such as "Invalid API key" or "Can’t connect to CENTURY, please try again," and the form will remain invalid.

This update provides confidence that the integration is working correctly before it is rolled out to learners.

Next step

Once you have enabled the integration for you tenant, CENTURY will appear as an option for the provider of Functional Skills during the Onboarding step. For further information, see: Add CENTURY as a FS in the Onboarding Wizard.
