Finding and completing a pending checkpoint

Checkpoint questions help you show what you know about your standard as you work through your programme. If you have a Checkpoint waiting to be completed, you will see it directly in your learning plan.

Note: This page contains information relevant to the Enterprise package only. If you are not sure which package you are on, check with your training provider.

Finding a pending Checkpoint

  1. Go to your learning plan.

  2. Look for the Checkpoint banner near the top of the page. It shows how many Checkpoints are waiting for you.

  3. Select the banner to open your pending Checkpoint.

The banner only shows Checkpoints that belong to your current programme. If you have changed programmes, Checkpoints from a previous enrolment will not appear here.

Completing a Checkpoint

  1. Work through each question, selecting the answer you think is correct.

  2. If you are not sure an answer is right, you can come back to it later.

  3. When you try to submit, Aptem checks whether every question has been answered.

Reviewing unanswered questions

If you try to submit a Checkpoint with questions still unanswered, a message tells you this and gives you a Review option.

  1. Select Review from the submission prompt, or from the player header at any point while completing the Checkpoint.

  2. On the Review screen, select Unattempted to filter down to only the questions you have not answered yet.

  3. Select any question in the list to go straight to it.

  4. Once every question has an answer, submit the Checkpoint.

In the above example, questions 4, 5, 10 and 14 have not been attempted, clicking on any of the numbers will take you directly to that question.

After you submit

Once you complete a Checkpoint, your tutor and administrator can see how you did. If you answered a question incorrectly, you will see feedback explaining why, to help you understand the KSB it was testing.
