Overview of skills radar

Skills radar

The skills radar is a competency assessment tool that tracks a learner's progress against the knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) mapped to their programme. Learners can self-assess against competency characteristics, and tutors complete their own assessment as part of the review process. The skills radar is visible to the learner, the tutor, and the employer.

Assessments are date-stamped and can be repeated throughout the programme to show progression over time.

Navigating to the skills radar

To open a learner's skills radar, select Skills Radar from the learner navigation menu.

You can also navigate directly from the Learners screen by selecting Skills Radar from the View column dropdown.

The Skills Radar screen displays the competencies configured for the programme. Where assessments have been submitted, scores appear against each competency. If goals have been applied, they are shown as a dotted line on the chart.

Show history

By default, the skills radar shows the most recent assessments submitted by the learner and tutor. To view progression over time, use the Show History toggle. This displays previous assessments alongside the current scores.
