CV Builder: troubleshooting guide

Use this guide if you are experiencing issues with the CV Builder in Aptem.


"This page is lost in space" error when accessing the CV Builder

Symptom: A learner sees a "This page is lost in space" error when trying to access the CV Builder.

Cause: The CV Builder requires the Advice token to be enabled on the learner's programme. If this token is disabled, the CV Builder will not load and the error is displayed instead.

Resolution:

  1. Sign in to Aptem as an administrator.

  2. Navigate to the Programmes tile.

  3. Locate and open the programme the affected learner is enrolled on.

  4. Scroll down to the Advice token and enable it.

  5. Click Confirm to save your changes.

  6. Ask the learner to refresh their browser and try accessing the CV Builder again.

Note: The Advice token enables access to the Advice Centre, which the CV Builder relies on to function. This token is not enabled by default on all programme types and is not typically included in apprenticeship programme templates.
