Aptem Masterclass: Making best use of sub-programme functionality
Aptem's sub-programme functionality offers a streamlined approach to connecting multiple learning plans to the main apprenticeship standard. It enables you to create an individualised learner experience through programme variation without the administrative headache.
This session, hosted by our implementation team, showcased the various ways you can utilise sub-programme functionality and explore some of the wider curriculum opportunities.
Suitable for all Aptem users involved in programme / curriculum design and management, this webinar covered:
- Qualification outcomes / component aims
- Non-mandatory qualifications
- Additional learning support
- Wider curriculum opportunities
Q and A transcript
The following is a transcript of the questions asked during the webinar, along with the answers provided by product experts. For any further information, do contact your Implementation Consultant, Customer Success Manager or Aptem Support.
How do you withdraw a learner from a sub-programme if they've started it but then it turns out they don't need it? For example, if they find their previous certificates after receiving learning. Don't want to delete the sub-programme from the ILR but the learner doesn't need it in their LP anymore.
You can remove the sub-programme without removing the ILR entry.
Are there any plans to allow sub-programmes to be applied to learners in bulk or is it going to remain to have be applied individually?
Currently, the functionality is to be applied individually. The idea for sub-programmes to be added to learners in bulk has been put forward to our product team on your behalf to be considered for future development.
If a sub-programme is accidentally deleted, once reinstated, would the information still be available? or would any progress within the sub programme be reset?
If a sub-programme is removed and re-added, as long as it is exactly the same sub-programme, Aptem remembers the content that was completed and re-instates the learner where they were, it does not reset. If you did wish to reset, it would need to be a new to learner sub-programme.
Will activities, reviews etc. completed within the sub programme be reportable within the user generic report?
UGR is a single line reporting system. This means that it is only available when there is a single answer to the query. Due to the fact that a learner may have multiple activities or reviews, then it is only reportable in OData as there are multiple lines to return. If you have specific queries with reporting, please do reach out to your CSM or IC, if you are in Implementation and they can show you the best way to report on what you need.
