Aptem Message Centre for Employers

Overview

The Aptem Message Centre lets employers and tutors send messages to learners. As an employer, you can message any learner within the groups you have access to.

In the Message Centre you can:

  • view system notifications, reminders, and documents awaiting your electronic signature
  • search for people you have previously messaged, or for keywords within a conversation
  • send messages and file attachments to your learners

Checking for messages

Select Messages from the left menu. If you have unread messages, a number badge shows how many are waiting.

The Messages screen displays a list of all conversations on the left. Use the search bar at the top left to find a specific person.

Select a conversation to open it. All unread messages in that thread are marked as read once you open it. Use the search bar at the top right to search for specific words within the conversation.

Replying to messages

To reply to a message, type your response and select Send. You cannot reply to system notifications or reminders.

To send a file, select the attachment icon. Files are sent as a separate message, so you can choose to send the file before or after your text.

Select Select file or drag and drop your file to upload it. You can add an optional description before sending.

Supported file types:

.pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pps, .pptx, .ppsx, .txt, .csv, .eml, .msg, .zip, .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, .mp3, .mpeg, .aac, .flac, .mp4a, .m4a, .wav, .wma, .aiff, .3gp, .mp4, .avi, .flv, .m4v, .webm, .wmv, .odt, .ods, .odp, .arf and .wrf

The maximum file size is 1 GB.

Once your file is attached, select Send.
