FAQ: How are the Progress bars on the Progress card measured?

The progress card measures progress against mapped criteria and units of qualifications. The progress bars here increase based on activities that are completed and upon the criteria that have been evidenced.

So, completing an activity may increase the % completed more or less than another completed activity depending upon whether the criteria (KSB or Unit) is mapped to many or few activities. If several or many criteria are mapped to several or many activities, completing an activity will have less impact upon the overall progress (because getting to 100% is spread over many activities) than if for example a few criteria are only mapped to an activity which is completed because the completion of the activity will 100% complete each of the criteria.

The progress card is a good measure of evidence completed against the criteria, but the completion of each activity will add a different % depending on how spread the mapping is.

Progress statuses (Behind, On-Track, Ahead) are determined by applying the specified thresholds within the account program and percentage of mapped & completed criteria as outlined below –

q1.jpg

Actual:

Calculated using Accepted criteria mapped onto Complete/Verified components.

Displayed as "Completed" when hovering over the progress line.

Expected:

Calculated based on criteria mapped onto components with DueDate < today.

Displayed as "Target" when hovering over the progress line.

MinExpected:

Based on if it’s a standard or qualification, it utilizes the "Late Alert Condition" metric defined in AccountProgramme->LearningPlanToken->Metrics->Standard/Qualification (as shown in the screenshot).

If LateAlertCondition > 0, then minExpected is calculated as (Expected - LateAlertCondition).

If LateAlertCondition = 0, then minExpected is set equal to Expected.
