First step: Username or email validation

First, the Username/email address is verified. If validated, the system checks if the user is configured for SSO/Aptem authentication.

In case of Aptem authentication

After successful Username/email validation, the system checks if the user is configured for SSO/Aptem Authentication. In case of Aptem authentication, it presents a field for users to enter their password.

Upon successful login, the user can see their Aptem Dashboard.

In case of SSO authentication

After successful Username/email validation, the system checks if the user is configured for SSO/Aptem Authentication. In case of SSO, the user is redirected to the SSO page.

Notes

  1. Any users who are set up with SSO will not have the option to change their password in their account settings. Their only option is to log in with their SSO account unless their authentication type is changed.
  2. MFA and SSO don't work together. MFA will be available to learners until their authentication is switched over to SSO, after that MFA will no longer work.
