Checkpoint - Manual creation

Overview

Tutors can manually create a Checkpoint to an individual Learner, tailoring which KSBs will be used to surface questions to the Learner.

 

Manually create a Checkpoint

1. Use the Learners menu on the left and navigate to the learner profile of the individual Learner.

2. On the learner profile, select the 'Checkpoint' tab.

3. To create a manual checkpoint, click Create Checkpoint on the top-right of your screen.

4. Complete the following fields under the “New Checkpoint” screen that is displayed

  • Checkpoint Name
    • The name of the Checkpoint
  • Target number of theory-based questions per KSB
    • Minimum of 1, and maximum of 3
  • Target number of scenario-based questions per KSB 
    • Minimum of 1, and maximum of 3
  • KSBs
    • Which Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours this Checkpoint should include questions of. This will be specific to the standard the Learner is completing.

5. Click the ‘Create Checkpoint’ button on the bottom-right of your screen.

Once a manual Checkpoint is successfully created, it is immediately available for the learner to complete.

Notes

  1. Manual Checkpoints cannot be edited once they have been created and are specific to each individual Learner.
  2. In case of manual Checkpoints, a scenario question will be added to the usual theory-based questions. On the reporting pages, learners, tutors and administrators will see a label that differentiates between a theory question and a scenario question.
