It arises when both the ILR and the Learner's profile/Edit User page are open in separate tabs. Updating the Learning provider in the Learner's profile and then navigating to the tab where ILR is open and directly saving the ILR without refreshing the page leads to this discrepancy. The 'Save' button in the ILR form retains the existing data, which includes the old UKPRN since the ILR page wasn't refreshed to fetch the latest information. Consequently, this outdated UKPRN is saved, causing the discrepancy.
To prevent such issues, we recommend refreshing the ILR page in classic after updating the Learning provider in the Learner's profile, before clicking 'Save'. This ensures the latest UKPRN is reflected and saved accurately in the ILR.
To resolve the issue for affected learners, update their Learning provider from the Edit User's page. Initially assign a different provider, then navigate back to the Edit User's page, and assign the intended one. This process will update the UKPRN to the intended one in the ILR accordingly.
