FAQ: How do I reapply a Learner to a Programme after they have been withdrawn?
Aptem does not currently have a return to learning process automation Tracker following a withdrawal from the programme, so this will require a manual update to the User's profile.
If you return a learner to a programme they have previously studied, they will return to the point at which the programme was stopped. If the learner was withdrawn through process automation, this will mean they return to the programme with the withdrawn status and withdrawn aims. No new aims will be created since it is not a new programme, simply reinstatement of the old.
In this situation, you have two options:
- If the withdrawal was an admin error, you can simply indicate that the Learner is now active by updating the ILR aims. You can also change the programme status from the User Profile to active.
- If the learner was genuinely withdrawn, and has now returned to learning they would need new aims to specify a restart. This can also be completed by updating the ILR aims. Please note that there are many compliance restrictions around this, and it may be better to treat this as a completely new start on a new programme with the relevant RPL for the original period of learning. We would suggest consulting with the ESFA before any programme changes are made.
